Volunteers for Peace Contact: www.vfp.org What: A non-profit organization that "promotes International Voluntary Service as an effective means of intercultural education and community service".  This comes in the form of "workcamps",  two to three week volunteer placements located worldwide with 10-30 volunteers from different countries.   Who: Any U.S. citizens.  Camps are available for youth and families as well.   Location: Worldwide and in the U.S. Duration: Usually two to three weeks. Cost/Benefits: There is a $20 annual fee to see the workcamp directory and register for camps.  Camps generally cost $250 and include room and board.    Cleaning up a summer camp-  VFP Workcamp in Marburg, Germany.
