What: A "non-profit, nonsectarian, nongovernmental development and refugee aid organization that partners with materially poor communities living in impoverished regions of "developing" countries or in refuge outside of their homeland".  They stay with communities for eight to ten years, working with them to "build functional social systems that meet their basic needs."  

Who: Anyone 21 years or older with either a degree or experience in the work they will be doing.  Must be fluent in Spanish for programs in Latin America.  

Location: Currently in Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Bolivia, Colombia, Guinea, and Mozambique.

Duration: Minimum two year commitment.

Cost/Benefits: Room, board, round trip transportation, annual trip home, health insurance, small monthly stipend, repatriation allowance.
