What:  Boys Hope Girls Hope helps academically capable and motivated
children-in-need to meet their full potential and become men and women
for others by providing value-centered, family-like homes, opportunities
and education through college.


Who:  Anyone 21 or older.

Location:  Opportunities exist in 16 major U.S. cities, including: Baltimore, Baton Rouge, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Denver, Detroit, Kansas City, Las Vegas, New Orleans, New York, Pittsburgh, San Francisco and St. Louis. International programs exist in Guatemala, Brazil and Ireland.

Duration:  Scholar Support Corps and Community Resource Coordinator
roles, both Americorps programs, ask for a one year commitment with
placements generally taking place each year in the fall. Residential
Counselor positions ask for a minimum two year commitment and are a paid
staff position with placements taking place year round.

Cost/Benefits: Scholar Support Corps: Room and board, stipend,
education award and health insurance. Community Resource Coordinators:
Stipend, education award and health insurance. Residential Counselors:
Paid position, room and board, health insurance, 401k and 403b
eligibility. All positions provide training and resources.
